SHREDSTOCK 2008
Dublin, Saturday July 26th 6pm

Guitar masters Steve Smyth, Doug Doppler, and Adrian Galysh brought Shredstock to Dublin, California.
The show opened with the winners of the YouTube Viral Video competition and then featured 3 sets, 45 minutes each artist.

Shredstock's roots lie in guitar legend Uli Jon Roth's Sky Academy Concert series, where Steve, Doug, and Adrian were invited to join the founding father of both the Scorpions and Neo-Classical Rock on stage. From there they joined forces and created Shredstock.

Shredstock Viral Video Contest: Winners for each city on the tour will have a chance to open the show with a solo or song of their choice. Contestants simply need to visit http://www.YouTube.com/Shredstock, upload a of video of themselves playing, send a link to friends and family, and he or she with the most plays wins!      Videos must be uploaded after July 1st

Ibanez Guitars clinician Doug Doppler live at Hertlein Guitars
June 10th 2008 (Tuesday)

Ibanez endorser and noted guitar teacher Doug Doppler held a guitar clinic at Hertlein Guitars and it was evening of fast and furious playing.

Accompanied  by backing tracks he had recorded in his own studio (Drums - Doug Doppler;  Bass guitar - Doug Doppler; getting the idea here?) he played the new Ibanez Prestige guitars through his Marshal stack,.

Doug also talked about his career, offered advice and answered a barrage of questions from the audience. To find out more about Doug click here

Fender Frontline Live presents Greg Koch and the Gristle Kings
May 6th 2008 (Tuesday)  7:00pm

WOW!! What ane evening it was - if you missed this you will want to come into the store and ask about it.
Greg Koch, supported by Tom Good on Bass and Ton Brechtlein on drums were outstanding!! We were treated to stunning evening of music when these three hit the stage at the store. Fun and informative as Greg played the new Telecaster, Stratocaster and Stratocaster VG in almost every style imaginable.

Fender clinician, Favored Nations recording artist and instruction book/DVD guru Greg Koch together with Tom Good (bass) and Tom Brechtlein (drums) is hitting the road to introduce you to this new American Standard guitar series and the Fender Super-Sonic™ guitar amplifier. Greg will serve up generous portions of tasty tips, tones and tidbits while showing you how to play some rootsy morsels and what to use to make 'em sound good.  
There’s also a good chance you’ll see some VG Stratocaster® activity. Greg will demonstrate all functions of the VG Stratocaster and will answer all of your questions on this new product and, while he’s there, on any other Fender product. A question and answer segment will follow.

Taylor Road Show
March 25th 2008 (Tuesday)  7:00pm

The Taylor Guitar factory experts are out on tour, bringing the latest developments from their headquarters in El Cajon, California to select Taylor dealers throughout the U.S. and Canada and they are coming to Hertlein Guitars !

The Taylor Guitar team was joined by Wayne Johnson who played a variety of Taylor Guitars including some rare customs, and then it was the audience's turn as the Taylor Team encouraged everyone to pick up a guitar and try them out. How often do you get the chance to play a variety of custom guitars?

Martin Guitar Clinic with Kenny Sultan
Held: November 28th (Wednesday)  7:30pm to 9:00pm 

Following on from the highly successful Andy Timmons Clinic, Hertlein Guitars and Martin Guitars proudly presented Kenny Sultan in a unique solo setting, playing blues, rags and other good stuff on a variety of Martin guitars. Martin Guitar rep was also be on hand to answer questions.

Many people attended this wonderful evening, listening to great music, tips and other guitar information provided by Kenny Sultan and Martin Guitars, the oldest guitar manufacturer in the USA!. Kenny played a variety of Martin guitars including his signature model and others straight out of Hertlein Guitar's stock - yes they even had the price tags still attached!  

Not only was admission was free, but Hertlein Guitars contracted Coffee Concepts Inc. to provide a free Espresso Bar for everyone.

Andy Timmons Guitar Clinic  (Mesa Boogie and Ibanez Guitars)
Held: August 16th 

Mesa Amps & Ibanez guitars along with Hertlein Guitars sponsored the first event at the Hertlein Guitars Shop in Dublin, CA.

A fantastic evening of music by Andy Timmons playing his signature Ibanez Guitar with commentary on his playing technique, pedal board, in fact anything anyone wanted to know.
